DTS Level 1 – Skid Recovery
Level 1 is designed to develop practical emergency vehicle control skills. Through a series of progressively challenging Easydrift exercises, you'll repeatedly experience controlled oversteer situations, allowing you to practise the correct techniques until they become confident, instinctive responses.
With instructor-led coaching, you'll deepen your understanding of vehicle dynamics while refining the correct driver inputs required to safely regain control when traction is reduced.
Who is this course for?
Level 1 is designed for drivers who want to build greater confidence and develop practical emergency vehicle control skills.
Fundamentals teaches you how a vehicle behaves and the correct response when traction is reduced. Level 1 focuses on developing the ability to apply those skills instinctively.
When the unexpected happens, there is no time to learn. Through repeated practice in a safe, controlled environment, drivers develop the muscle memory, awareness and confidence needed to respond calmly and effectively when vehicle stability is compromised.
Completing DTS Fundamentals is recommended, but not essential. Whether you are continuing your DTS training journey or looking to further develop your vehicle control skills, Level 1 provides valuable experience in understanding and managing loss of traction.
What you'll learn
