Advanced Driver Training
Master real-world car control safely and confidently with
Easydrift technology
DTS FUNDAMENTALS
DTS Fundamentals is an instructor-led introduction to vehicle dynamics, designed to build a practical understanding of how a vehicle behaves before, during, and after loss of traction.
This course helps drivers understand how tyres, grip, weight transfer, braking, steering, and modern Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) influence vehicle stability.
Using Easydrift technology, students will safely experience controlled understeer and oversteer scenarios, allowing them to recognise the early signs of vehicle instability and understand the correct response before a real-world situation develops.
Students Will Learn:
Understanding Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
Tyre Grip and Traction Fundamentals
Weight Transfer and Vehicle Balance
Introduction to Understeer and Oversteer
Skid Recognition
Basic Vehicle Control Techniques
How Driver Inputs Affect Vehicle Behaviour
Course Benefits:
Understand how and why vehicles lose grip
Recognise early warning signs of instability
Improve confidence in emergency situations
Build awareness of vehicle limitations
Create a foundation for advanced driver training
DTS Fundamentals is the starting point of the DTS pathway, creating the knowledge and awareness required for effective vehicle control.
DTS Level 1 – Skid Recovery
DTS Level 1 – Skid Recovery is a practical driver training program focused on recognising and recovering from loss of traction, with a specific focus on oversteer situations.
Students will learn how to identify the early stages of a skid and apply the correct steering, vision, and control techniques to regain vehicle stability.
Through controlled exercises using Easydrift technology, drivers develop the confidence and muscle memory required to respond calmly and effectively when traction is reduced.
Students Will Learn:
Oversteer Recognition and Control
Skid Recovery Techniques
Steering Correction Methods
Cornering Fundamentals
Emergency Manoeuvring
Vehicle Balance Awareness
Driver Input Control
Course Benefits:
Learn what to do when the rear of the vehicle loses grip
Improve confidence during unexpected situations
Develop smoother and safer reactions
Understand how steering and vehicle balance interact
Reduce panic response during loss of control
DTS Level 1 teaches drivers how to recognise, respond, and recover when vehicle stability is compromised.
DTS Level 2 – Skid Control
DTS Level 2 – Skid Control develops the ability to actively manage vehicle behaviour during sustained low-traction conditions.
Building on recovery techniques from Level 1, students progress from reacting to a skid toward controlling and maintaining vehicle stability through precise driver inputs.
Using Easydrift technology, students explore how throttle, braking, steering, and weight transfer work together to influence vehicle balance and direction.
Students Will Learn:
Precision Skid Management
Throttle and Brake Modulation
Vehicle Balance Control
Weight Transfer Management
Emergency Manoeuvring
Maintaining Control in Low-Grip Conditions
Smooth and Consistent Driver Inputs
Course Benefits:
Move from reaction to controlled vehicle management
Improve precision and confidence
Understand how small inputs affect vehicle behaviour
Develop better judgement in challenging conditions
Improve consistency behind the wheel
DTS Level 2 develops the skill to manage vehicle behaviour, not just recover from it.
DTS Level 3 – Skid Dynamics
DTS Level 3 – Skid Dynamics is the advanced stage of the DTS pathway, focusing on understanding and deliberately influencing vehicle behaviour at low grip.
Students learn how weight transfer, grip balance, and driver inputs can be used to control vehicle dynamics with precision.
Through structured exercises using Easydrift technology, drivers develop the ability to predict, initiate, and manage vehicle movement while maintaining control and consistency.
Students Will Learn:
Advanced Vehicle Dynamics
Controlled Skid Initiation
Grip and Balance Manipulation
Advanced Weight Transfer Control
Hazard Avoidance
Vehicle Response Management
Precision Driver Inputs
Course Benefits:
Understand how to influence vehicle balance
Develop advanced control techniques
Improve smoothness and consistency
Build confidence in complex driving situations
Develop a deeper understanding of vehicle dynamics
DTS Level 3 transforms vehicle control from a reaction into a deliberate and repeatable skill.
At DTS, we offer a comprehensive and structured driver training program designed to develop safer, more confident drivers through the innovative use of Easydrift technology.
Our training is progressive, with three levels that build upon each other. Each level is carefully designed to enhance driver skill, from essential everyday vehicle control through to advanced performance techniques. While Fundamentals and Level 1 provides critical skills for daily driving, students may choose to progress through all levels for more advanced development, with pathways toward motorsport applications.
All training is conducted in a controlled, low-speed environment, allowing drivers to safely experience and understand vehicle behaviour in reduced-traction conditions.
We maintain small class sizes to ensure personalised feedback and a focused learning environment, giving instructors the ability to provide individual attention and deeper insight into each student’s strengths and areas for improvement.
